"Time is a Circus" Art Journal Tutorial

Thought I'd share my latest art journal page with everyone.
This past weekend was definitely circus-like, so what better
way to vent about it...with an art journal page!

On my desk today...

Today, I'm working on my watercolor sketchbook.
I recently took a trip to Williamsburg, VA & was totally inspired to start this!
Most sketchbook artists travel with their supplies & work on site,
but when you travel with children, it's not that easy.
I decided to take as many pictures as I possibly could, & sort through them later.
I chose the top 10 pictures that told the story of my trip & began sketching the images in my book. Once the sketches are complete, I add watercolor & pen lines to make them pop.
I LOVE how it's coming along so far & will post pics as soon as it's complete!

New in the Store!

February is right around the corner & we are in Valentine's mode this week!
New in the store, is a recycled cardboard, "Love Banner!" It's such a great feeling
to turn everyday items into pieces of art & that's what we've managed to do with our
Valentine's banner! This will last for years to come & can be personalized with any
text you wish. Thanks for stopping by!

Rainy Days & ZENTANGLE

                    MY ZENTANGLE OWL           ZENTANGLE BOOK

Many of you have probably heard of Zentangle before, but
if not, welcome to a whole new way of doodling!
This form of drawing is more involved than your average
scribbling, but loads of fun & great for rainy days!
There are lots of books on the market (including the one above),
but even more exciting...TONS of free patterns & websites
dedicated to educating the public on this art form!
Fellow blogger, Soshi, has lots of great patterns to share
on her site & beautiful work displayed as well!
If you would like more info, send me a message &
we can swap patterns :o)
